Arrived in Dublin and picked up our hire car and were convinced by the salesperson that a GPS would be a good investment at an extra 6 Euros a day. The GPS voiced it's instructions in a female voice and was very quickly named Miss Leading by Kathy. After buying a toll pass for the M50 to avoid Dublin city centre, Miss Leading took us on a tour of the highlights of downtown Dublin. We were impressed by her capacity to tolerate extreme verbal abuse whilst maintaining a level, reasonable and, disturbingly, persuasive tone to her voice.
Despite our detour, we arrived at Jimmy and Toni's home in Clonroche in reasonable time and spent a few relaxing days getting up late, wandering aimlessly about the countryside (against Miss Leading's most persistant urgings), visiting ruined Abbey and Priorys and enjoying the odd guiness.
Daniel became very close to the Butlers dog Kirby, spending a lot of time playing with him.

Kirby responded by humping his leg.
In what seem a far too short a time, we had to once again pack up our bags and say goodbye. We punched in a route to Dublin into Miss Leading while Daniel said goodbye to the dog. The suggested route appeared to go cross country so we decided to stick to the main roads and trust the road signs. A certain tone seemed to creep into Miss Leading voiced instructions..was it more demanding?..was she giving us attitude? We found her "off" switch!
