After 6 nights in Istanbul, we had a last wander around in the Sultan Ahmet I Camii (Blue Mosque), jumped on a ferry across to the asian side of the city and caught a 17 hour train ride to Kayseri. Where I promptly got us lost in search of the bus terminal. In the end we called a taxi from a hotel we stumbled upon and were picked up by the very taxi driver we arrogantly dismissed as unnecessary at the train station. With much chortling he drove us to the brand new bus station about 10 kms away. It had only just been built and our guide book hadn't caught up and we only had directions to the old station.
Arriving at the bus terminal, the large display cheerfully announced it was -4deg C. Undaunted, we grabbed a kebab each and jumped on a bus to Goreme.
