We booked into a hotel in which our room was cut out of the rock, a bit like Coober Pedy.We spent the first day in Goreme visiting the Valley of the Churches and exploring an adjoining valley where Daniel and myself discovered a complex of tunnels.
The second day we took a couple of dolmuses to Derinkuyu underground city where we clamboured around exploring the 7 levels.
Personally, I was just happy to be out of the snow.
