Leptis magna

Travelled from Tripoli to the ruined roman city of Leptis Magna. A huge site that took us around 4 hours to crawl over. Morgan delivered a oscar worthy, though somewhat abreviated version, of the Mark Antony speech from Shakesperes Julius Caesar in the theatre. I thought I was going to cry.
We stared down death and boarded Buraj airlines boeing 737 (hand me down from Jordanian airlines) for a flight from Tripoli to Benghazi.
We were left to wander through the ruins of Tolmeita where we found 4 standing roman columns that made perfect goal posts. The downside was if you followed through with your kick to far, you fell down a 4 metre drop into the cistern.
Dawdled through the ruined greek city of Cyrene with amazing views from the greem mountains down to the mediterranean then meandered through Apollonia.

The kids have had enough of ruined cities.......and we still have 5 weeks Egypt and Turkey!
